Hotel Café Royal is a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel located next to Piccadilly Circus in Central London. With 159 elegant rooms and suites, we provide an unmatched experience for our guests. Our Housekeeping department is a crucial part of our operations and one of the largest departments in the hotel. We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendants to join our team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The Role:

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our guest rooms and suites, ensuring they are kept in the best condition for our guests. You will work closely with the Front Office team for room set-ups and arrivals and coordinate with the Engineering department to report any maintenance issues. You will help create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests, delivering luxury service through attention to detail and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service guest rooms and suites to the highest standards, ensuring impeccable presentation and hygiene.
  • Replenish amenities and ensure that all room features and facilities are in proper working order.
  • Liaise with the Front Office team to manage arrivals, departures, and special requests, ensuring rooms are ready for guests upon check-in.
  • Communicate any maintenance issues or room faults promptly to the Engineering department for resolution.
  • Organize and maintain housekeeping trolleys and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and presentable at all times.
  • Adhere to hotel safety and security protocols while carrying out duties, ensuring the safety of guests and colleagues.
  • Assist in the management of guest laundry and linen services as needed.
  • Perform deep-cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Managers.
  • Ensure all lost and found items are reported and handed over to the Security office.
  • Uphold the hotels grooming and uniform standards, maintaining a polished and professional appearance at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Room Attendant in a luxury hotel environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact positively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing time effectively to meet room service standards and schedules.
  • Flexibility to work 5 days per week, with day shifts typically from 8.30 am to 5 pm, and occasionally later shifts from 10 am to 6:30 pm as needed.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and pushing housekeeping trolleys.
