Youll lead with purpose breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected compassionate world.A Day in the LifeThe Territory Sales Manager (SM) will hold the overall responsibility for the selling of the diabetes portfolio and achieving sales targets in line with the UK Sales and Marketing strategy. This is a strategic account development role where the SM will have to identify and liaise with key decision makers and influencers. The SM will be required to work closely with the Technical Consultant and District Sales Manager to ensure successful business growth in the defined territory and Scotland as a whole. This territory covers hospitals in the South of Scotland with any candidates needing to be based in the Central Belt or the south of Scotland.This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronics Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Take responsible for the overall selling and promotion of the diabetes product portfolio ensuring meticulous execution of agreed activitiesDesign and develop innovative local implementation plans to shape partnerships with key local stakeholdersIdentify and maximize broader customer relationships with multiple stakeholders allowing development of key decision makers and influencers within the territoryWork closely with all key business functions to partner and overcome capacity barriers to grow business in targeted accountsDevelop and implement business plans to expand the growth in this sector using innovation and experienced sales knowledgeDevelop and influence key decision making criteria in favour of Medtronic therapies including resolution of risks and concernsUse basic proficiency health-economics reimbursement and tender processes with potential to influence key decision maker criteria for impactful outcomesRequired Knowledge and Experience:Bachelor or Masters degreepreferredSales experience in medical/pharmaceutical/biotech industryWillingness and ability to travel driving licence requiredStrong business acumen analytical and selling skillsInterpersonal presentation and communication skillsExperience of Challenger Sales Methodology is advantageousPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits PackageA commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
