Are you a skilled surveyor who cares about quality living conditions? Join our client as a Disrepair Surveyor and lead the charge in tackling damp, condensation, and mould problems. You'll ensure top-quality work, making a real difference in people's lives and leaving their customers smiling

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing all aspects of disrepair works from start to finish.

  • Adherence to contracts, KPIs, and value for money in efficiency, economy, and effectiveness.

  • Identifying defects, preparing detailed reports, schedules of repairs, and associated specifications and estimates.

  • Offering expert guidance on building defects, diagnosis, and remedial recommendations.

  • Conducting thorough surveys, producing accurate reports, and recommending appropriate remedial work, especially for damp and disrepair issues.

  • Adhering to legal and regulatory requirements, their standing orders, and financial regulations.

  • Assisting in the technical growth of colleagues within Property Services.

  • Embracing evolving duties as the role develops within Property Operations.

What they’re looking for

  • A Degree in Building Surveying (or similar field)

  • A full UK driving license

  • Excellent customer service

  • Project management skills

  • Risk identification and management

  • Accountability

  • Positive and outcome-focused attitude

  • Advising, supporting, and mentoring colleagues

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Report writing skills

  • Experience with disrepair service in social housing

  • Knowledge of repair techniques and disrepair legislation

  • Understanding of pre/post inspection processes and building pathology
