Your new companyMy client is a well known organisation who provides a substantial service to the construction industry. They require a HGV Mechanic to carry out routine maintenance and repair on all types of commercial vehicles.Your new roleYou will be required to carry out the following:

  • Routine maintenance and repairs on all types of commercial vehicles within our extensive fleet, e.g., engine servicing, brakes, clutches, etc.
  • Diagnose faults using company diagnostic software, rectify faults, and liaise with the Stores department to attain the correct parts as required.
  • High level of customer service.
  • Ensure all jobs and service records are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensure safe working practices are adhered to.

What you'll need to succeedYou will need the following to be considered for the role:

  • Previous demonstrable experience as a vehicle mechanic.
  • Experience of diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Experience working on diesel engines.
  • A relevant mechanical qualification would be advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work well within a small team and produce a high standard of work.
  • Full driving licence.
