I am seeking a highly skilled and motivated No 1 Mechanic to join my clients motorsport team. Who can lead our mechanics team and ensure their vehicles are always performing at their best.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the mechanical team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of work quality.
  • Vehicle Preparation and Maintenance: Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and repair of race cars, ensuring they meet the highest performance and safety standards.
  • Trackside Support: Provide expert mechanical support during race events, including setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, drivers, and other team members to develop and implement strategies for race success.
  • Inventory Control: Manage the inventory of tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring all necessary items are available and in good condition.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechanical work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.


Qualifications


  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a no 1 mechanic in a top-tier motorsport environment.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of race car mechanics, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electronic systems.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to perform under pressure to solve complex mechanical issues quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Motorsport: A genuine passion for motorsport and a commitment to achieving excellence.
