We currently have the following opportunity: Assistant Team Leader, Access Team - PKC13381£24,889 - £26,813 (18 Hours per week)Pullar House, Perth Perth & Kinross Council aims to work with the residents of the Perth & Kinross area to provide independent living across all communities. A vacancy has arisen in the Access Team within the Early Intervention and Prevention Service. The successful applicant will assist in supporting the management of a busy team undertaking staff supervision of social workers, community care assistants and mental health assistants, reviewing Adult Support & Protection cases and reports. You will ensure service delivery and completion of all statutory duties involved in adult social work. The successful applicant will also be expected to represent the team in various multi-agency settings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly innovative team, the work is fast paced and varies each day with excellent training and supervision provided.Skills & Experience RequiredThe ideal candidate will be motivated, engaging, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Effective time management is essential for a successful autonomous worker to manage competing demands with the ability to be flexible and respond to crisis/ competing demands being integral to the role. A good understanding of SDS and Adult Protection and how this is delivered is essential. The ability to integrate and cultivate successful links within the team and across services is highly desirable. Knowledge of services, challenges, demands, and demographics within PKC would be an advantage. You must have experience of assessment of Social and Personal Care needs. You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of social work principles and values. You will have experience of Adult Support and Protection Procedures and all relevant legislation. You must have a DIPSW, CQSW, CSS and relevant Social Work Qualifications. You will have current registration with SSSC and be eligible to register with the PVG scheme.
