The Role


As a Senior Product Developer, you will lead the creation and development of advanced tactical clothing and equipment, focusing on hands-on execution and practical problem-solving.

Your ability to combine creativity, technical expertise, and results-driven pragmatism will be critical to delivering exceptional products that meet market demands and customer needs. Hybrid role, 1-2 days a week in Leeds office.


Key Responsibilities


Product Design & Development

  • Independently lead the design and development of tactical clothing and equipment.
  • Craft and refine prototypes that balance functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Innovate designs based on direct market feedback and customer requirements.
  • Oversee product testing and validation, focusing on performance under real-world conditions.


Material Sourcing & Fabric Testing

  • Source cutting-edge materials and fabrics for tactical applications.
  • Conduct rigorous testing for strength, comfort, and durability.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure high-quality resources.


Supplier Engagement

  • Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure quality and consistency in production.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges with practical, hands-on solutions.
  • Negotiate timelines and costs independently to meet project goals.


Project Management & Execution

  • Manage multiple product development timelines with a focus on efficiency and results.
  • Ensure projects align with customer requirements and are delivered on schedule.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of development processes and testing outcomes.


Market Awareness & Practical Innovation

  • Stay informed about trends in tactical clothing and equipment.
  • Adapt quickly to market feedback and customer needs, ensuring competitive product offerings.

  • Proven experience in product development, ideally in textiles, clothing, or tactical equipment.

  • Expertise in prototyping, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
  • Familiarity with market demands in tactical and defense industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD or similar design tools.
  • Experience managing tender-driven projects with tight deadlines is a plus.
