This is a strategic leadership role with a hands on delivery approach, responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share and leading a high performing sales team.The Sales Director will be tasked with cultivating and nurturing strategic customer relationships whilst continually seeking opportunities for growth. You will be fostering an environment of high performance, developing and driving a winning sales team . The Sales Director will be required to recruit, train, coach, develop and motivate their team to win.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the sales strategy including creating plans on how to achieve sales targets, both through expanding existing customer accounts and winning new across each territoryLead, mentor and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed targetsIdentify new business opportunities and oversee major account negotiationsMonitor competitor activity, threats, and opportunities, understanding customer and market trends to inform strategy and provide insightCollaborate with operations and other internal teams to align sales effortsEnsure the company continues to provide excellent customer serviceBuild and maintain strong, long lasting customer relationships, true partnering with each account to understand their business needs and offer solutions that will meet those needs and morePrepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports and performance metrics to senior leadershipExperienceA proven track record in a similar senior sales leadership position with experience achieving revenue growthIt would be highly desirable (but not essential) to have experience from within the forklift or equipment sector in hire and salesStrong commercial acumen and strategic thinkingSignificant experience winning new businessExperience leading large and complex bids and sales processesStrong negotiating and commercial skills – a proven ability to accurately price business opportunities and develop bidsThe ability to influence others at all levels to leverage decision makingTrack record of delivering strategic change, transformation and developmentExperienced in developing and executing sales process and strategy, gaining buy in from senior stakeholders and sales teamsDriving a culture of high performance and accountabilityThe client operate an office based working environment that can provide flexibility, and would encourage and anticipate this individual to be out meeting clients nationwide with office based days when required.For a confidential chat please reach out to Kirsty Gill who is managing this search.
