Overview

Main purpose of the role:

Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the ‘Chapter’s’ strategic operating plans including sales performance within income, profit & market share across Estate Agency, and drives the performance of the Financial Services and New Homes operations through the creation of meaningful synergies and focus.

Activities / Main Duties:

  1. To contribute and support the GMD in devising ‘Chapter’ strategy that ensures profitable growth and continuous improvement.
  2. Builds and develops a highly effective ‘Senior Chapter’ Management Team whilst embedding the core behaviours, values and principles of the Company.
  3. Ensuring that the ‘Chapter’ operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by the ‘Senior Chapter’ Management Team and all employees.
  4. Defines and delivers minimum standards across the ‘Chapter’.
  5. Ensures the ‘Chapter’ adheres to the ‘Spicerhaart Way’.
  6. Creates and drives a culture of coaching that leads to a high performance culture (best in class ethos).
  7. Leads and motivates the ‘Chapter’ business at all times.
  8. Works collaboratively with the wider business to ensure that the Chapter strategy for recruitment, retention, training, coaching and developing is aligned to the ‘Chapter’ goals.
  9. Effectively implements Company and Business Policy within the ‘Chapter’.
  10. Represents the ‘Chapter’ (is known as the face of the ‘Chapter’ both internally and externally).
  11. Ensuring the implementation of and compliance with ‘Chapter’ operational planning and financial control systems.
  12. Regular monitoring of the ‘Chapter’ operating and financial results against plans and budgets.
  13. With the agreement of the SMD takes remedial action where necessary.
  14. Accountable for the legal and commercial compliance throughout the ‘Chapter’ business.
  15. Supports the SMD in creating a culture of innovation.
  16. Throughout the Chapter, creates a universal knowledge and understanding and commits to the adoption of HR process and best practice including recruitment & selection, training & development, activity and performance management and employee relations.
  17. Ensures engagement in local marketing initiatives.
  18. Establish and own the internal audit process.
