I am currently working with an insurance team based in the Central London area looking for their next Senior Non-Natural Catastrophe Analyst. This team has recently had a restructure, introducing one of the best hiring managers in Exposure/Catastrophe management to lead this 15 strong team.


This Analyst will work on new methodologies, systems and automation for capturing and monitoring non-natural catastrophe (NNC) exposure data whilst using sophisticated modelling and analytics, as well as their expertise in natural and non-natural hazards, exposure, and financial terms to partner with underwriters and other stakeholders on business decisions. This role specifically focuses on the continuous advancement of the Exposure Management framework for non-natural catastrophe risk.


We’re seeking a Catastrophe Analysts that is able to demonstrate skills/knowledge such as;

  • Ability to think critically and collaborate with others in order to form sound business judgements.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, particularly the ability to communicate to a non-technical audience
  • Previous experience in Non-Nat Catastrophe
  • Ability to manage own deadlines
  • Skills/experience using SQL
  • Programming skills, e.g. R or Python


The successful candidate will earn up to £100,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: Discretionary bonus, 18% pension, medical cover/insurance plus numerous soft leisurely benefits. The team works on a hybrid basis, with 3 days a week on-site in their Central London office.
