The successful individual will shape strategies to effectively manage cyber security risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
The Hiring Manager is seeking a consultative, outgoing consultant who brings positive energy and can contribute to the team from a cultural perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and enhance frameworks tailored to clients' needs, incorporating industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and maintain clear, consistent policies, procedures, and guidelines for cyber security governance.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and other requirements.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard data and assets, conducting regular reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to develop and maintain response plans and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, driving initiatives to bolster our governance framework and security posture.
About you:
- Proven experience in cyber security governance, risk management, or compliance roles.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Government or military experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Information Security Qualifications (CISM/ CISSP).
