About the Role:
As a Lead Practitioner, you will support the Team Manager in providing practice leadership and supervision while promoting the highest professional standards in social care. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team, contributing to the overall wellbeing and quality of practice. Your role will include:

  • Supporting adults and carers to maintain their independence and well-being through access to high-quality information, advice, and local preventative services.

  • Providing high standard social work in line with the Care Act 2014 and Barnet's policies, ensuring the safeguarding of adults and carers at risk of harm.

  • Conducting professional assessments and care planning with a focus on achieving social care outcomes.

  • Offering professional supervision and mentoring to staff, supporting caseload management, and promoting continuous development and reflective practice.

  • Collaborating with partners and leading in agreed areas of work for both Social Care and the Integrated Care Board.

About You:

  • You will hold a relevant social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.

  • You will be fully competent to Senior Social Worker level under the Social Worker National Competency Framework.

  • You will have a strong commitment to collaborative working, safeguarding, and promoting service user wellbeing.

  • You will be skilled in professional supervision, reflective practice, and supporting colleagues in their development.
