Job Description:


We are seeking a talented Web Developer with extensive experience in WordPress, including a deep understanding of WooCommerce and other key plugins.


This office-based role requires a candidate who is adept at both back-end and front-end development. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing, managing, and enhancing websites to ensure they are not only visually appealing but also optimised for e-commerce and performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new features and functionalities on WordPress sites, particularly with WooCommerce.
  • Ensure high performance and manage all technical aspects of the CMS and its plugins.
  • Convert detailed layouts and wireframes into functional HTML pages.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Optimise websites for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Provide ongoing support and technical troubleshooting for WordPress and WooCommerce issues.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Web Developer specialising in WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • Strong understanding of a wide array of WordPress plugins.
  • Proficient in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Knowledgeable in responsive and adaptive design.
  • Basic skills in image authoring tools for adjustments and optimisations.
  • Understanding of PHP back-end development.
  • Excellent grasp of website architecture and design aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing projects and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
  • Familiarity with interacting with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent visual design tools such as Figma
