Ambient Warehouse Clerk

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Hatfield Distribution Centre in our Warehouse Department as a Warehouse Clerk. Our Regional Distribution centres supply our 198 cash and carry sites with all their products including Fresh, Frozen and Ambient stock. 

The successful applicants will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working any five from seven days with various shift patterns, so there will be Saturday or Sunday working dependent on rotas. Sunday hours are paid at a premium rate. 

We are currently looking for an Ambient Warehouse Clerk who will be responsible for the shift’s clerical administration. They will report to the Senior Clerk on the shift and contribute to the Department’s success by ensuring KPI’s are continually met.

Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre-employment tests.

We do not accept applications from candidates residing outside of UK and must be living within a commutable distance.

Role Responsibility

• ?Monitoring Pick by Locator
• Dealing with Back Picks
• Helping with Licence Plate queries
• Allocating Trailers to Bays
• Liaising with Shunters and Managers whilst working the load window
• Checking bag up and all relevant paperwork for loads
• Updating and inputting data on system 

You will need

• Good organisational skills, including prioritising work-load.
• Good computer working and knowledge skills working with Microsoft Office programmes.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good numeracy and keyboard skills.
• Strong administration skills are required with good communication skills, this role relies heavily on being able to communicate with several different people groups.
• Be fluent in good spoken and written English language.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Good time and attendance.
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Some training will be provided to help you to integrate into the department.
• Previous experience in a Warehouse Department would be advantageous
