We provide easy and convenient mobility, connecting people and communities in South West London, southern counties of England, and the Isle of Wight.Join our team and help us continue to improve quality of life, by bringing people together to get the most out of life.About the jobTo support the Depot Management teams in providing general administration assistance as required to meet the needs of the Fleet business.Your main responsibilities will be:Provide general admin support for designated Fleet Depot and and associated satellite locations as requiredUndertake note taking at fact finding interviews, team meetings and any locally organised meeting where required to attend as note takerEnsure all correspondence is dealt with and the depot filing system integrity is maintainedEnrol depot staff on training courses and issue joining instructionsas requiredEnsure all staff training files are maintained and kept up to date as requiredCarry out payroll procedures for all depot staff as requiredProduce staff baseline rostersProvide PSE absence prints as required and update AP action stagesto the HR Business Partners with employee relations case managementWhere authorised to do so enter data into designated company systems e.g. stores ordering, invoiving etcAdditional tasks as specified by local managerYou'll need:Experience of working in a fast paced and challenging office environment.Possess a flexible approach in ensuring customer needs are met.Preparedness to travel across the South Western Railway network to attend meetings as and when required.Demonstrate strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills.Conscientious with an attention to detail particularly in relation to producing formal documentation in a variety of context.Must demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems, skills and behaviours and to acquire job related formal qualifications as and when required.Experience in appropriate IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.A working knowledge of MS Outlook an advantageApplicants who require a visa must have 6 months remaining at the time of their appointment. About the locationFratton Depot is a Traincare facility adjacent to Fratton Station. The depot teams are responsible for the maintenance and presentation of class 444/450's, to ensure a safe, clean and reliable service for our customers. The depot has two pitted maintenance roads and a refuelling station for Great Western's 166/5 services and South Western Railway's 159/8's.
