The Opportunity Were looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support the delivery of high-quality English lessons for post-16 learners, including GCSE resits and Functional Skills. Working closely with teaching staff, youll provide in-class support, deliver small group activities, and help students build confidence in reading, writing, and communication. Your role will be key in ensuring learners stay engaged and achieve their English qualifications. About You Youll have a solid understanding of how to support learning and personal development, with experience working with post-16 students and knowledge of GCSE and Functional Skills English. A team player with strategies to engage learners who may be disengaged, youll bring excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is essential, and ideally, youll hold HLTA status.
