Job Summary:
The Product Manager will serve as the bridge between business functions and product engineering teams, overseeing the development, launch, and lifecycle management of both hardware and software activities. The role requires a proactive and passionate approach to product ownership, with a keen eye for UX and a hunger for innovation.
You will work closely with senior leadership, championing agile methodologies, and ensuring that both the business objectives and customer needs are met. This position reports to the COO, with a strong working relationship with the CTO, providing unparalleled exposure and learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the business owner for the company’s real-time online platform, identifying both tactical and strategic development opportunities to meet market demands and improve performance.
- Work alongside the Technical Support Manager to ensure prompt resolution of customer issues, maintaining an outstanding customer experience.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define, refine, and execute product roadmaps.
- Write user stories and prioritize them for engineering sprints, conducting retrospectives, and communicating progress to key stakeholders.
- Lead the internal OKR (Objectives and Key Results) process, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategy to drive measurable business value.
- Ensure optimal utilization of engineering resources and establish effective setups for delivery.
- Continuously improve issue resolution methodologies, working closely with both customer experience and product engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2 to 3 years experience in a SAAS Product Owner role or a BA role that is very Product focused.
- Experience using GitLab or a similar platform for product management and development tracking.
- Proven track record of implementing and working with agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and retrospectives.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and terminology.
- Excellent prioritisation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across different levels of the business, from stakeholders to technical teams.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Exposure to UI/UX design and best practices, with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Experience in hardware engineering or working on hardware-software integrated products.
