We are working with a prestigious care provider that operate a large portfolio of care homes across Scotland and are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager in Hamilton.


You will be responsible for the running of the care home, leading your care team to promote a caring, safe, and homely environment for the residents. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care is provided on a daily basis and providing specialised personal care to each individual resident within the home, whilst liaising with families and other third parties.


You must have a strong knowledge of Care Inspectorate regulations and a understanding of the Health & Social Care Standards. You will need to ensure the highest standards are delivered and maintained through effective management of your team and be able to achieve agreed targets.


Main Responsibilities

  • To lead and co-ordinate a comprehensive care management and support service in line with company’s policies, procedures, and budgets.
  • To actively promote and raise the profile through personal representation, publicity opportunities and contact with local organisations to maintain full occupancy levels.
  • To maintain up-to-date knowledge of community care issues and practices to ensure the company is well placed to take advantage of new opportunities.
  • To maintain staffing levels, always, in accordance with the requirements of the Care Inspectorate taking into account occupancy levels and needs of the residents. This includes on call duties.
  • To foster effective and productive relationships with outside organisations such as local authorities and social service departments, primary care trusts, care trusts and voluntary bodies etc.


Key Requirements/Experience

  • Previous care home management/supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Service Users, relatives, and all grades of Staff
  • Ability to build highly successful and motivated teams who consistently excel in the achievement of Company goals
  • NMC Pin is desirable but not essential
