We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running - a committed Housing Options Advisor with experience in homelessness prevention, housing advice, or equivalent housing-related roles within a local authority or housing association. Salary: £24 - £27 p/h Contract: Min 3 month temporary contract Location: Kettering As a Housing Options Advisor, you will play a crucial role in preventing homelessness and supporting residents to access safe, suitable, and sustainable accommodation. With increasing pressures on social housing, you will be instrumental in helping households overcome barriers to rehousing, with a strong focus on prevention and utilising the private rented sector (PRS). You'll work in a proactive, person-centred way, providing clear advice, robust casework, and legally compliant decisions in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act, case law and current guidance. Key Responsibilities of a Housing Options Advisor: Work collaboratively with households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, identifying barriers and exploring prevention opportunities. Create, review and update Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs) to support timely and sustainable solutions. Carry out detailed assessments, making enquiries into homelessness, eligibility, priority need, local connection, and intentionality.
