All maintenance undertaken is to comply with the standards set out in VOSA's 'Guide to Roadworthiness' and all Operator Licence stipulations.Bring to the attention of the Workshop Manager or Lead Mechanic any indication of driver/operator damage noted during routine servicing and inspection, preparing written reports if required.Emergency RepairsAttend promptly to vehicle and plant breakdowns involving taking out a replacement vehicle or item of plant, repairing defective vehicles or plant on site and arranging the return of it to the depot.Vehicle/Plant RepairsCarry out body repairs and fabrication involving the use of welding and cutting equipment for example manufacture new and replacement parts, carry out refurbishment and modification work.Diagnostic Work (Mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatic)Investigate the cause of vehicle and plant faults using gauges, hand held test equipment and computer software, isolate the cause and carry out necessary repairs.DocumentationComplete all service/inspection and daily work sheets.About Us: Job&Talent is recruiting forHGV Mechanicto join a leading company in Derby How to Apply: Click 'Apply Now,' and our team will contact you shortly.
