Client

I work with a highly regarded UK-based health and insurance provider dedicated to improving well-being and providing impactful services. This opportunity will allow you to join an innovative team and offer expert legal advice and support across product development, partnerships, and regulatory initiatives.


This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer already in-house or wishing to make their first move. This role is truly broad, however due to the specialist knowledge of insurance regulation the client is needing some exposure to this area.


It does not need to make up your entire practice; broad commercial exposure would be welcome.



Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a legal advisor to commercial and product teams, guiding projects while managing legal and regulatory risks.
  • Delivering counsel on strategic initiatives, from new product launches to regulatory compliance and digital transformations.
  • Building and implementing regulatory frameworks alongside compliance and risk functions.
  • Handling complex legal inquiries and offering balanced, commercially focused solutions.
  • Drafting and negotiating distribution agreements across key partnerships, including brokers and intermediaries.
  • Advising on product governance, including regulatory considerations for emerging areas.


About You

  • Qualified lawyer in England and Wales, with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Financial services expertise with a deep understanding of the regulatory environment, including FCA rules and insurance distribution.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, marked by attention to detail and a critical approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence outcomes across varied teams.
  • Proactive in identifying and managing legal risks, adept in complex negotiations, and offering practical, commercially aligned solutions.
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion, committed to inclusivity and ongoing professional growth.
