Role Outline


As our Neurodiversity team continues to grow as we continue to make a lasting impact on our increasing portfolio of clients, we are recruiting for a talented and experienced ADHD & Autism Specialist to join us on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week), working 3 days between Monday to Friday, with flexibility in our core hours of 8am to 6pm.


The role is home-based, although some occasional travel may be required throughout the UK to client sites.

This is an exciting role for a specialist clinician to provide expertise and contribute to the development of our Neurodiversity services here at Health Partners Group, providing high quality and impactful care.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing screeners and diagnostic assessment services directly to adults with autism and/or ADHD as part of a multidisciplinary team. This will include interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources and on occasion, if appropriate family members and others closely connected with the client. This may include completing standardised assessments such as clinical interview such as ADI-R and/or DIVA-5 and mental health assessment; or other assessments such as ADOS-2; CAT-Q.
  • Collating and compiling competent reports that are fit for purpose.
  • Supporting recently diagnosed autistic and ADHD adults in offering post-diagnostic support, which will include delivering training to neurodivergent adults, and their colleagues.
  • Maintaining high client satisfaction levels.
  • Positively contribute to the team’s contracted KPI targets and meeting SLAs by completely highly accurate reports within the agreed timescales.
  • Providing training, supervision and consultation in autism/ADHD services to other staff at Health Partners ensuring that a neuroaffirming approach is delivered across the organisation and to support the changes to make accessing health care inclusive, as well as clinical supervision to other members of the team for their provision of autism/ADHD informed approaches.
  • Providing educational inputs to other professionals and to the staff of other agencies as required in the interests of neurodiversity.
  • Using published research and information on good practice regularly to keep clinical practice up-to-date and evidence based.

In addition, dependent on work demand, you will:

  • Conduct workplace needs assessments for neurodivergent employees by identifying strengths and barriers; making suitable recommendation for workplace adjustments that are neuroaffirming.

Essential qualifications/skills required:

  • Qualifications will vary but will likely include:
  • Qualified Health Care Professional (HCPC) with current registration (e.g. Psychologist – clinical, counselling or forensic, Occupational Therapist, speech and language therapist)
  • Qualified Nurse with specialist training and experience in ADHD/Autism and holds current NMC registration
  • Psychiatrist with a special interest in ADHD and holds current GMC registration

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with conducting diagnostic assessments and intervention (Autism and ADHD).
  • Accredited DISCO/ADI-R/ADOS or equivalent diagnostic assessment for both Autism and ADHD.
  • Comfortable and experienced working in a remote environment and delivering assessments remotely.


Desirable skills:

  • Experience of helping organisations address issues in a meaningful way around diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Previous work experience in the private sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Non-Medical Prescriber qualification. Additional responsibilities will include:
  • You will be required to offer ADHD medication follow up appointments under the supervision of more senior staff (Psychiatry). This will include to prescribe/titrate medication within a scope of practice, monitoring of treatment response and assessing of side effects.
  • You will also need to understand physical health monitoring for medication.
