Electronics Repair Technician


The Electronics Repair Technician works as part of the quality department and will provide production with support in -


  • Repairing production units and customer repairs
  • Developing and maintaining SOPs for repairs
  • Supporting production with Root Cause Analysis on reworked parts
  • Compiling reports and in-depth analysis linked to repairs.
  • Assisting and carrying out product test procedures to support the Test Resources. Production and Development functions

Requirements:

​

  • Working knowledge of electronic equipment covering both digital and analogue circuitry.
  • Attention to detail
  • Confident IT skills
  • Previous experience of fault finding on PCBs and electronic equipment would be an advantage.

​

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

​

  • Carry out fault finding tests in PCBs, finished goods and warranty repairs and complete the corrective actions.
  • Provide production repairs analysis and reports.
  • Carry out test procedures.
  • Record and collate test data and fill in fault reports for customers.
  • To work within production process when required
  • Carry out EMC and new product basic function testing.
  • Test hardware development build and maintenance.
  • Support process improvements and developments
  • Indicate in real time where the faults occur in production line.
  • Machinery maintenance, calibration, and profiling
  • Other duties as required to ensure the production area operates effectively and efficiently.
