Universal Grinder

Job Title: Universal GrinderShift: DaysRate: £15 - £17 p/hThe Job * Set up and operate grinding machines to grind to tight tolerances * Select appropriate grinding wheels and fixtures based on job requirements * Inspect components for defects and ensure they meet quality standards * Use hand tools to adjust machine settings and make necessary adjustments during the grinding process * Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed * Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to keep them in good working condition * Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipmentRequirements * Experience in operating surface and universal grinding machines * Knowledge of tooling and ability to select appropriate grinding wheels and fixtures * Ability to read component drawings to a good standard * Basic maths skills for measuring * Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skillsWhat Next?For more information or to apply for this position please apply here or contact Actio Engineering Recruitment directly and one of our specialist team will be in touch.Actio are a recruitment agency and an equal opportunities employer
