Our wellregarded secondary school in Lewisham seeks a qualified and passionate Music Teacher to join our dynamic Music department on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire a love of Music and equip students with valuable knowledge and skills.

About the Role:

As a Music Teacher you will:

  • Deliver engaging and stimulating Music lessons across the curriculum catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 78) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 911).
  • Foster a love of Music in students encouraging exploration of the world around them and developing their critical thinking skills.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to curriculum development ensuring it aligns with the schools vision national requirements and the latest advancements in geographical pedagogy.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to ensure a cohesive and engaging program.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Music Teacher with a proven track record of success in engaging students and developing their geographical understanding.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of Music in students of all abilities.
  • Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • A willingness to be part of a dynamic department and contribute to its ongoing development.
