Join us as a Systems Engineer at our Farnborough site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleAs a Systems Engineer you will deliver a range of service across a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines including research and development, independent and technical specialist advice and independent test and evaluation to clients in QinetiQ’s Airborne Anti-Submarine Warfare team.Day-to-day, you will work with a team that work closely with its customers to design and implement advanced solutions that address real-world challenges.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeProblem solving and the application of science underpinned by a tailored life-cycle approach e.g. Systems/Software Engineering lifecycleThe use of rapid-prototyping techniques to inform system design decisionsBeing a self-motivated team member and taking ownership of tasking whilst operating collaboratively within a dynamic teamSupporting the delivery of acoustic systems requiring sensor simulation and aircraft simulation with high fidelity test signalsBeing hands-on with a dynamic team delivering mission winning innovationEssential Experience Of The Systems EngineerAn understanding of Systems/Software engineering lifecyclePrevious experience in the Systems Engineering disciplineThe ability to problem solve and apply applicationProven experience working within a teamEssential Qualifications For The Systems EngineerA degree in Physics, Maths, Oceanography, Electronics or a relevant engineering disciplineWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week on-site based at our Farnborough site.
