Department OverviewThe Evidence and Devices Engineering team is responsible for Motorola Solutions body cameras vehicle cameras and evidence management software leveraged in public safety and enterprise applications worldwide.We are a thriving and growing company in search of a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our evidence management team at our Edinburgh Scotland site. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the development and growth of our software engineering projects. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our teams success and foster a positive culture within the company.Job DescriptionPlease note that this role is based in the Edinburgh Office.Designing and implementing Embedded Software in C C Rust.Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.Learning and maintaining an existing code base while taking ownership of the feature in development.Ensuring continuous professional self-development.Basic RequirementsWhat you bring to the table:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Mathematics Physics Electronics Electrical or equivalent.Knowledge of Embedded software development testing and debugging software issues.Collaborates with co-workers and has strong communication relationship-building and cooperation skills.Ability to multi-task under guidance.Interest to learn and grow your skillset on Embedded Linux Microcontrollers Electronics.Bonus points for:Previous working experience on Embedded Systems.Familiarity with Linux-based environments.In return for your expertise well support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
