We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Ground Worker on a 2-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: 22.52- 29.70 per hour Summary: The Multi Skilled Operative provides excellent operational skills and skilled workmanship within the building trades as part of a multidisciplinary team maintaining servicing and improving Southwark Councils housing and property stock. The role involves self-managing work liaising with customers for smooth completion of jobs and providing diagnoses and recommendations for remedial work. The primary purpose is to deliver a high-quality service focused on achieving required turnaround times and standards for Southwark residents. Responsibilities: Execute a range of Repair & Maintenance work to a professional standard and highly productive level acting with minimum supervision and a large degree of self-management.Provide knowledge understanding and execution of installation repairs maintenance and inspection of equipment features and fittings within housing managed stock and infrastructure.Ensure all work and related activities comply with current Health & Safety legislation Southwarks safety management systems contract specifications and good working practices.Be responsible for an allocated vehicle ensuring it is safely driven and all equipment and materials are safely and securely stored. Essentials: City And Guilds plumbing NVQ 2 or equivalent.City and Guild Multi-skilled NVQ 3 or equivalentDemonstrable experience of working in the building and trades industry carrying out repairs and maintenance to void and tenanted properties.Experience of working within diverse communities of all abilities.
