Medacs Healthcare are proud to be working with a leading provider of specialist hospital at home care.Working in line with the company ethos to deliver excellent care to patients being treated in their own homes rather than a hospital setting, we are currently recruiting experienced community Registered Nurses in the Norwich area.The role will involve visiting patients in their own homes to provide care for those who are being looked after by carers or relatives and who would otherwise be admitted, or remain in hospital. You will be responsible for contributing to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.Attend 45-minute patient visits. Provide health and social care in the patient's own home to promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent livingObservations and recording in line with the company systems. Initiate health promotion activities as appropriateParticipate in risk assessment and promote the safety and wellbeing of patients and carers. Qualifications and experience At least 3 years post registration experienceImplement and evaluate care and treatment in agreement with the patient and as defined in the care plan.Experience in a similar role and confidence to work independently in the community. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with patients. This is a mobile role so a full driving licence, relevant insurance and access to a car is essential. Canulation and Phlebotomy administration of IV drugs, Experience of wound care and wound management. The BenefitsExcellent rates of payPaid mileage from home (at 45p/mile)Paid training is provided to all successful applicants. This is a temporary role and applicants will be required to work flexibly as part of a 7 day rota.
