Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Data Solutions Architect on a Fixed Term 6 Month Contract (potential to be extended) to provide strategic architectural oversight and establish robust standards, governance, and frameworks for Azure-based data solutions. This role is pivotal to delivering a unified and scalable system architecture that aligns with the business’s ambition to expand its digital capabilities.This contract presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping our digital transformation programme, as we strive to become a market leader in delivering a best-in-class digital customer experience for our clients.Job DescriptionThis is a delivery-focused role, responsible for shaping architectural practices, embedding standards, and enabling teams to deliver high-quality data and integration solutions.Ideal for an innovative and technically grounded architect, this role offers the opportunity to solve complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions for mission-critical services.Define and document both the current ("As-Is") and future ("Target") state enterprise IT architectures. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution designs. Own and develop a clear, actionable roadmap to achieve the target architecture. Assess and recommend the most effective integration methods between third-party platforms and the existing ecosystem. Establish and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across data and integration initiatives. Own and contribute to architecture decision records (ADRs) and support architectural governance processes. Promote reusability, modular design, and interoperability across systems to support a unified, extensible platform. Define and champion the data architecture vision, ensuring external vendors and development teams build solutions that align with internal standards and future-state models. QualificationsThe ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong blend of strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and hands-on experience in working with cloud-based architecture.Proven experience as a Solution Architect on enterprise-level system design and delivery, ideally within aviation, logistics, or related B2B industries. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, particularly integration services and modern cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)Solid understanding of architecture principles, frameworks and methodologies. Skilled in providing technical leadership and guiding development teams through solution implementation. Strong communicator, able to convey complex technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders. Strong understanding of data integration, data quality, and master data management principles. Experience designing platforms that support third-party integrations via modern APIs and integration tools.
