Responsibilities in your new role as the Head Chef

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
  • Develop and innovate menu items and recipes, ensuring they are aligned with market trends and the unique identity of the venue
  • Recruit, train, and supervise all kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Work with new and existing suppliers to improve quality and manage costs effectively
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar Head Chef role, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of current market trends, ensuring menus remain relevant and unique. Creativity and passion for evolving the menu and launching new concepts are essential. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit excellent time management and organisational skills, with a solid understanding of kitchen budgets and cost management, as well as a thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
