Legal Entity Controller - Financial Services - Accounting - Financial Reporting
Our client, a leading global financial organisation, is seeking a Legal Entity Controller to join their team in London on a 6-month contract. This role is essential in supporting the financial reporting and monitoring across a diverse range of legal entities, contributing to the firm's financial and regulatory oversight.
As part of their Controllers group, you will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating across teams globally and playing a key role in financial analysis and reporting. You will provide high quality reporting and analysis of entities’ assets and profitability in a challenging and varied environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyse, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders (IFRS/US GAAP)
- Prepare and review financial statements, addressing complex technical accounting issues
- Collaborate with Finance teams globally to facilitate quarterly consolidated reporting
- Coordinate with various teams, including Product Control, Corporate Treasury, Compliance, and Tax, to ensure accurate reporting
- Drive process improvements, enhancing workflows and reporting technology
- Participate in cross-divisional projects and initiatives, providing financial oversight
Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience as a qualified accountant (CA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing audited financial statements under IFRS is advantageous
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to collaborate across teams
Location: London Office, Full time
Contract: 6 months, Inside IR35
