Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on IP matters and provide detailed reports
  • Work as a subject matter expert, this role will support our client’s lawyers with a variety of more complex technical work in their area of expertise as well as client relationship activity
  • Manage and maintain IP docketing systems to track deadlines and ensure timely submissions
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence
  • Liaise with clients, foreign associates, and government agencies regarding IP matters
  • Support attorneys in IP litigation, including the organisation and management of case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
  • Supervise and quality check the work of more junior colleagues
  • Support the Senior Specialist and the Delivery Manager to develop and implement new Intellectual Property work services and solutions

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an IP Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Strong understanding of patent and trademark laws, procedures, and regulations
  • Proficiency in IP docketing software and legal research tools
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal qualification preferred
