Ecommerce Analyst – Up to £37,000

Liverpool – Hybrid (3 Days in Office)

A growing ecommerce team is looking for a data-driven Ecommerce Analyst to provide real-time insights into trading performance, marketing campaigns, and customer behavior. This role offers great exposure to multiple business functions, working closely with trading, loyalty, and data science teams.

THE COMPANY

This well-established business is expanding its analytics capabilities within the ecommerce space. The team supports multiple departments, including marketing, sales, and trading, with a strong focus on real-time analytics and AI-driven automation projects. They are currently implementing Google Vertex AI, making this a great opportunity for a junior analyst looking to develop within an innovative and forward-thinking team.

THE ROLE

As an Ecommerce Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering real-time insights on trading performance and marketing campaigns. You'll work with structured data to support decision-making across multiple teams, helping to optimize ecommerce strategies and improve customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time trading insights to support ecommerce decision-making.
  • Analyze campaign performance, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work with SQL and BigQuery to validate and extract data for reporting.
  • Collaborate with trading, loyalty, and data science teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Support automation projects that improve business reporting and efficiency.
  • Use Google Analytics (GA4) to validate customer behavior and track performance.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is a junior to mid-level analyst (1.5-2 years of experience) with a strong foundation in SQL and a keen interest in ecommerce analytics.

Essential:

  • SQL & BigQuery experience – ability to extract and manipulate large datasets.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach to trading and marketing analytics.
  • Strong communication skills to translate data insights into business recommendations.

Nice to Have:

  • Power BI or other visualization tools for dashboarding and reporting.
  • Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) for validating and analyzing data.
  • Exposure to AI-driven analytics or automation projects.
