You will work closely with our product and business teams to develop new system capabilities at scale and optimize existing capabilities.How will you make an impact in this roleRoles and Responsibilities :Contributes to design development troubleshooting debugging evaluating modifying deploying and documenting software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications business applications and/or internal end user applications.Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story analysis and elaborationDesign and develop responsive web applications using the best engineering practicesPerforming hands-on software development spending majority of time writing code and unit testsDevelop proof of concepts conduct code reviews and test in ongoing sprintsPerforming ongoing refactoring of code utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track conceptsDeveloping deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within the supported domainsManage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a teamBring a mindset of innovation ideas and continuous improvementChallenging status quo demonstrate risk taking and implement creative ideasBring a good attitude great communication willingness to learn and collaborateDrive automation and ensure automated test scripts are completed for new featuresDemonstrate a passion for continuous learning and willingness to adopt new technologiesWork closely with product managers plus other engineers to implement versatile solutions for tricky web development problemsEmbrace emerging standards while promoting best practices and consistent framework usageMinimum Qualifications:1 - 2 years of software development experience in Java / KotlinBS or MS degree in computer science computer engineering or information technology or equivalent stream1 - 2 years expertise with API design and development1 - 2 years of experience in developing Micro services using Java Vert.x Spring Boot .etcExperience with Github Actions and understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with relational and NoSQL databasesPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on KotlinOpen Banking knowledge is a plusExperience in Couchbase is a plusEmployment eligibility to work with American Express in UK is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.We back you with benefits that support your holistic well-being so you can be and deliver your best.
