Are you an analytical chemist looking to leave the laboratory and the QC environment?
Delve are currently working with a company who focus on automated chemistry analysers for multiple different industries who are looking for a Service Technician. The Service Technician role would suit someone who prefers being hands on with analytical equipment and loves to travel.
Salary: £30-34k.
Location: Remote with frequent travel across the M4 corridor.
The role
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for meeting with customers on site to service and calibrate analytical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Installation of analytical equipment at customer sites
- Training of customers on analytical equipment - operation and maintenance
- Report writing after customer visits
Travel
This role is a field-based position which requires frequent travelling to customers onsite 80% of the time. The role will cover customers along the M4 corridor so we are looking for someone who has the freedom to travel and enjoys being customer-facing.
The successful candidate will have a 4 week training period in the Netherlands where they will be training on all aspects of the companies instruments and applications.
Skills and experience
- Degree qualified in Chemistry or a closely related subject
- Prior experience in a QC/analytical laboratory
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Valid driving license is essential
- Willingness to travel across the UK with regular overnight stays
