We provide a full service from feasibility and concept design to detailed engineering, construction and operational support.We are proud to be recruiting to expand this team, you can find the details below for this rare opportunityAbout The OpportunityDue to significant growth and project demands, we have a unique and exciting role opening for a junior visualisation technician to join our team. Roles within this team rarely become available, and this could offer a dream job for someone passionate about motorsport & design. The role will involve working with our existing visualisation team and with the wider design team in creating our designs in the virtual world. This spans from creating architectural visualisations to virtual race track simulator models.The role will suit a candidate with education or experience in 3D modelling, Visualisation or Gaming Design.What You'll Be DoingCAD drafting & formatting which can be used in a drawing or used for 3D modelling.Working with Design Engineers to develop simulator models and refine the driving experience of our race tracks.Researching and developing technical tools to improve our workflow under the guidance of senior team members.Developing feature complete drivable simulator models for clients or public to use on their racing simulators.Working within the limits of the game engine, curating file sizes, polygon counts and loading speeds.Optimising environments and establishing accurate but optimal physics meshes.Resolving material errors and collision issues.Game test levels created on the simulator.Visiting existing or new race tracks during modifications works or new construction.3D modelling other environments such as buildings, site layouts, landscapes, vehicles as per our project designs.Your Skills And ExperienceThis is a niche and bespoke role, so we are open to candidates with the following:A portfolio or demo reelHigh level artistic skills - proportion, colour, compositionSolid understanding of digital art fundamentals such as PBR workflow, modern rendering techniques and lighting.Experience in digital art content creation - modelling, unwrapping, texturing, renderingAbility to use 3D modelling software’s such as Blender, 3ds Max, SideFX HoudiniAbility to use rendering engines such as Cycles or Unreal Engine.At least some experience or knowledge using basic 2D CAD software is important - Training will be provided on our specific software.Your approach and styleSomeone with a passion and knowledge of motorsport industry and racing circuits.Has an eye for detail.Happy to work at a fast pace to meet project deadlines.Somebody who applies excellence in all they do and is willing to go the extra mile for a client.Has the ability to communicate technical & artist language clearly to non-technical teams and clients, both verbally and in written communication.Has an interest in I.T and use of technology to improve our workflow.A flexible approach to working hours can sometimes be required to meet international project deadlines & time zones.Is willing to travel (UK and globally) on a regular basis (short trips) and can adapt to different cultures or working environments.Wants the opportunity to work on world class, high profile and unique projects.
