Senior Building Surveyor Location: Glebe Street, ST4 1RN Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 4+ months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 39.13 per hour Job Ref: (phone number removed) Job Responsibilities Review and approve building applications and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations. Manage major projects for partner companies, both within and outside the partnership area. Act as the Building Authority for safety matters at sports grounds. Handle dangerous structures and related issues, including out-of-hours work. Prepare reports and initiate legal actions against non-compliance. Assist in developing plans and procedures to enhance service delivery. Train and develop building control staff. Promote the partnership initiative to potential clients. Maintain data security and confidentiality. Use IT tools to support building control services. Person Specifications Must Have Expert knowledge of Building Regulations and construction techniques. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field. Membership in a professional body like the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Experience in project management and partnership contracts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and IT skills. Ability to handle dangerous structures and fire safety legislation.
