We are looking for an Operations Manager to strengthen our team in the UK. Within the framework of the policy defined by the company you will be responsible for the operational management.You will report to the VP Operations EMEA in Belgium and you are part of the EMEA Operations Management Team. You manage a team of 65 people who operate on our site every day.Your role and responsibilitiesCoordinate and organize the various stocking activities according to the organizations priorities and needs in order to provide effective service that meets the organizations quality requirements.Coach and develop team leaders in order to utilize their skills and knowledge optimally.Be responsible for the implementation of the personnel-related framework within the department within the Warehouse departments policies in order to contribute to the realization of the defined HR policy in the organization.Detect and apply opportunities that lead to concrete operational improvements for the department in order to continue optimizing the departments efficiency and internal operation.Provide permanent communication with the various internal stakeholders in a matrix organization in order to optimize collaboration and efficiency.Document and structure procedures and processes within the department to ensure that all processes are clear and defined in each specific task.Implement the policies identified by the prevention department and empower all employees to be safety conscious in order to become a department that represents the security order and cleanliness and thus to convey the vision of TVH Group.Keep up to date with the evolution in the field of operations management and continuously work to strengthen leadership skills.How to succeed / Your profileA Master degree in business economics or equivalent by experience.Minimum 10 to 15 years relevant logistics experience of which minimum 5 years in a senior/leading position.Very good knowledge of warehouse systems and procedures.Insights/experience in warehousing and logistics processes.Both result and people oriented personality.Whats in it for youA competitive salary.Flexible working hours and a healthy work-life balance.Lots of support and an encouraging team of co-workers.An infectious We Are One can-do mentality.A people-centric culture where your fitness and mental well-being matter.Opportunities for professional development including access to LinkedIn Learning and many in-house/external training courses.People are at our heartTVH is a global business with a family atmosphere where people are at the center.
