Job Title: Surveyor / Inspector - Passive Fire protectionLocation: Manchester / North West (will involve travel)Salary: >£40,000 + benefitsEstablished in 1989, Our client is the UK's leading passive fire protection specialist, supplying a comprehensive range of third-party accredited survey, installation and compliance services to public and private sector organisations across the country.With offices nationwide, this is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking, modern construction business, that genuinely cares about it's people.You will be part of a team carrying out Fire Door & Compartmentation surveys on secure sites so all candidates must have or be able to obtain the relevant clearance. Responsibilities:Complete visual inspections and surveys on fire doors & Compartmentation to ensure they are up to compliance standardsProduce reports and offer advice and recommendations to clientsHave a good understanding of Timber Fire Doors, door surrounds and similar furnitureBe able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door's ratingBe able to ensure that the choice of Frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatibleHave good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislationExperience / QualificationsFire Door & Compartmentation Experience (Installation, Supervising, Surveying)Recognised Fire Door Related QualificationFull UK driving license Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenIT literate, able to use microsoft suite and Tablet/PDA's.What you'll get in return:25 days holiday + BH & xmas shut down5% employer pension contribution
