Reporting to the Operations Manager and a linchpin of the service engineering team. Youll have the chance to work on key systems on-board Royal Navy ships and submarines. Youll be at the forefront of representing Northrop Grumman to our customers and end-users.Our UK Defence business is a Sovereign software and systems centre of excellence. As well as developing and supporting UK wide and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems our work is critical to the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. Max Eaton Operations Manager at Northrop Grumman UK.Responsibilities:To perform service tasks across the UK and worldwide when required.Install integrate and test existing and new products in support of programme executionConduct installation audits and generate installation audit reports for Customer acceptanceDiagnose / fix issues on naval platforms in accordance with in-service support contractsSupport Factory Acceptance TestsTo support other engineers with technical issuesRegular travel within the UK (predominantly Portsmouth and Barrow-in-Furness). For a comprehensive list of benefits speak to our recruitment team.We are looking for:Experienced field service engineersUnderstanding of the defence environment highly desirableExperience of practical fault-finding on complex equipmentPC configuration experience with networking and IT skillsFamiliarity with maritime systems such as radar.Knowledge of control systems and networking highly desirableFull UK Driving LicenceThe ability to manage their own time and work effectively on their ownSomeone confident and able to represent Northrop Grumman to our customers and users.Security clearance:You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government security clearance in line with the job role (SC).
