Visionary Environmental Artist Wanted for Immersive TTRPG Project

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Environmental Artist to join our team in creating captivating artwork for our upcoming TTRPG project. As a key member of our art team, you will play a crucial role in bringing the game world to life through visually striking illustrations that inspire and engage players.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and execute stunning environmental artwork using Photoshop or other layer-based painting software, in close collaboration with our Project Director.
• Create 11 immersive splash art images for the Regions of the World, along with other artwork for the Capital Cities and Areas of Interest. We estimate a need for around 22 pieces.
• Skillfully paint environments to strict layout specifications, showcasing expertise in both natural and architectural forms.
• Ensure artwork aligns with the project's overall artistic vision and captivates players.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A robust portfolio demonstrating exceptional proficiency in digital painting, with a focus on natural environments, architectural design, and splash art.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating effectively with team members, primarily through Discord.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback and a genuine desire for continuous improvement.
• Excellent time management skills to consistently meet deadlines without the need for crunch time or overtime.

Budget:

As we expect to request roughly 22 pieces, we have not allocated a set budget. Instead what we have offered is based on the average rates of the artists we have worked with in the past.

The current rate is $8,000 USD or £6,400 GBP (for this project)

This is fully negotiable and we respect the craft of potential clients so please do not be shy if you wish to talk about this further.

Bonus Points:

• A passion for tabletop roleplaying games (e.g., Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder) and the fantasy genre
• Openness to mentorship and professional development opportunities, such as relevant art tutorials and courses (funded by us)
