The Role

This is an excellent Embedded Software Engineer role, working for a company with a growing reputation in their field.


The Embedded Software Engineer will likely have a relevant engineering degree such as CompSci, Electrical or Electric Engineering, and proven commercial experience of firmware development - using Embedded C. The purpose of this role is for the successful Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware, crucial to business products within a growing business unit.

The Embedded Software Engineer will join a global organisation within the scientific manufacturing industry who are dominating their field. They are experts in the design and manufacture of a range of innovative products, used in the application of a range of manufacturing and research activities They are the gold standard in their field worldwide and have 15 facilities across the world in 10 countries


The Embedded Software Engineer will contribute to a supportive team environment, which rewards hard work and innovative thinking. This is a full-time position based-in Ely and although we would love you to go to the office full-time, we're open to flexibility up to 2 days remote working following a successful probationary period.

What’s Required?


The Ideal candidate for the role will have some of the following:

  • A relevant degree within an engineering discipline such as Computer Science, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or proven commercial experience
  • Proven commercial development experience using Embedded C, as well as a strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and embedded systems
  • Any experience of RTOS or understanding of motion control algorithms would be highly advantageous
