You will work as either 1:1 or with groups in helping young people with a range of barriers to learning, to access work set by class teachers and to navigate what can be very challenging days at school. Doing this through academics means that, instead of committing to a restricting role in a specific school, you can try different schools, different age groups, and different types of SEND support in order to find your place and your career.
