Our client is seeking an AWS Data Engineer with experience working in Python to join their team on a freelance Inside IR35 contract expected to last 6 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position would require 3 days a week on-site in Belfast and 2 days remote for the duration.Project details:Position: AWS Data EngineerContract type: Freelance B2B.Contract Length: 6 MonthsLocation: 3 days a week on-site in Belfast, 2 days remoteLanguages: English SpeakingRequired Skills & Experience:Strong understanding of the AWS ecosystem and core cloud services relevant to data engineering.Expert-level Python developer with experience using data processing libraries (Spark, Pandas, Polars, etc.).Hands-on experience developing scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue.Good understanding of CI/CD practices and experience working with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modelling, and distributed data processing.Experience working with open table formats, with Apache Iceberg strongly preferred (other formats such as Delta Lake or Hudi are also acceptable).If this is something you are interested in, please send me an up-to-date CV, and we can discuss the role in more detail.
