Duties include

  • Setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape different metals according to blueprints and work instructions.
  • Measuring and inspecting completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Adjusting machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
  • Monitoring machine operations to detect any problems or malfunctions and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents to determine machine setup and production requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to optimise production efficiency – supporting other areas in the workshop on occasions.

T he successfulcandidate will have / be:

  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating press brake machines.
  • Strong knowledge of metal properties and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
