Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom IP House Full time

Please send your resume to careers@ip-house.com and mention “Analyst” in the subject line to apply. Including a strong cover letter with your application allows you to showcase your written communication skills, which we highly value for this position.

Company Background

IP House is a global professional services organization focused on protecting intellectual property. Founded in 2024, IP House is built on the foundation of several acquisitions in the intellectual property, professional services, and legal services industries. The company seeks to help businesses deal with the legal issues surrounding the protection of copyrights, physical products, trademarks, and design patents. The issues around intellectual property affect every business through the risk of counterfeiting, change in reputation, shareholder value, and security. IP House aims to tackle these issues globally, operating on every continent and across industries to help businesses protect their intellectual property and offer solutions to identify and mitigate these risks.

Objectives and Responsibilities

Our clients rely on us to fiercely protect their intellectual property. To support the company’s rapid growth, we seek several Intelligence Analysts. The ideal candidate has proven success in analyzing intellectual property infringements, monitoring and taking down infringing activity, and uncovering emerging trends in the IP landscape. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding our clients’ innovations by providing them with actionable insights. More specifically, Intelligence Analysts will be tasked with the following:

·        Monitor online marketplaces, social media, and other platforms for infringing listings or posts.

·        Evaluate the nature of any identified infringing activity, the operation's scale, and the potential harm.

·        Submit takedown notices to remove online infringements and maintain communication with all relevant intermediaries to ensure compliance.

·        Conduct in-depth research into the intellectual property (IP) landscape using online and offline resources and tools.

·        Analyze complex data sets to identify opportunities that significantly impact our clients and translate findings into clear and actionable threat intelligence reports.

·        Identify new data sets and other opportunities to augment information in the intelligence management system.

·        Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all reporting activities.

·        Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including online investigators, field investigators, clients, attorneys, and law enforcement, to gain actionable insights.

·        Stay current on evolving intellectual property laws and regulations, emerging trends, and technological advancements.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, take-charge person with excellent judgment. The successful candidate is an independent thinker who is committed to making a difference by finding nuggets of intelligence in vast seas of data. More specifically, the Intelligence Analysts will thrive if they have the following qualifications and experience:

·        Minimum of 2 years of experience in analytical roles related to intellectual property crimes.

·        Proficient in using online research tools and databases

·        Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to create clear and well-organized reports.

·        Experience with data visualization tools to present complex data in an easily understandable format.

·        Demonstrated ability to ‘see the bigger picture’ instead of merely executing established processes.

·        Knowledge of languages like Python for data analysis and automation.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        A passion for intellectual property protection and a strong ethical compass.

Compensation & Benefits

We are hiring the finest talent around the world. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and based on location, skill level, and experience.
