Paint Specialist Position Overview

My client based in the Sutton Coldfield area are currently looking for an experienced Paint Specialist to support them in their paint department working on an automated robotic paint line. You will need to have a strong background and experience in the paint industry as well as experience working with automated paint machinery.

Responsibilities include:

  • To ensure that, as a minimum, the Company`s Health and Safety and Environmental Standards are implemented.
  • To drive continuous improvement initiatives in the paint plants and associated areas as appropriate. Scope to include CapEx projects for efficiency, environmental, or new application materials or process.
  • To provide technical support and expertise to the Paint Plant to maximize quality, throughput and efficiencies.
  • To train paint plant personnel and others as necessary in best practice for paint application and produce associate documents, training materials and checklists as required.
  • To lead initiatives with other areas e.g. Moulding, R&D, Purchasing etc. in order to specify characteristics required for the effective application of paint onto different plastic substrates
  • To take the lead role as the Paint Application Champion for process and hardware and software specification, documenting Standard Operating Procedures for the paint plant and associated routine maintenance etc.
