HSE Manager

My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced HSE Manager to join their site in South Lanarkshire.You will be working with a successful manufacturer, that have a culture on site that is results-driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The company is well established, financial stable and have earned a reputation as an excellent employer. The successful candidate will oversee the health, safety and environmental compliance on site, by providing leadership, guidance and support. Responsibilities:The HSE Manager will be responsible for safety and environmental control measures on site for all manufacturing, service and repair activitiesManaging risk assessment and COSHH programmesProviding safety and environmental guidance and support on a proactive basis as well as responding as requiredConducting HSE audits/inspections and toursOverseeing incident investigations and conducting and leading major incident investigationsChairing local safety committeeAssisting in any activity designed for the development and improvement of the company HSE systemHelping to set and achieve local HSE objectives and working towards achievement of corporate level objectives and targetsMaintain legislative compliance for the siteExperience Required:An experienced HSE Manager - Ideally from a fast paced and pressurised manufacturing backgroundA strong communicator - capable at all levelsAssertive and capable of ensuring "buy-in" from staffHigh level of awareness of all relevant legislation and requirements
