Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Southend to recruit for a Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities Team on a permanent basis paying £39,152- £45,091 P/Annum. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. Southend is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing several changes focussed on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team. Main duties include: You will work with them, their families and other agencies to meet their assessed needs and support them to achieve their potential. Include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection, as well as young people preparing for adulthood. Will have a Social Work qualification and an understanding of the impact of disability on children’s lives.
